Improve Your Home’s Appearance

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

If you are interested in improving your home’s appearance but don’t have a lot of money to do so then you ought to consider vinyl fencing. There’re many benefits of using vinyl fencing for your backyard. When it comes to making your home look great, vinyl fences do an amazing job for a small price. It’s hard to believe that vinyl fencing is as affordable as it really is, but it is actually a very affordable option! This is especially so when you compare the price of vinyl fence to other forms of fencing including stone, brick, chain link, iron, and the like. Besides being more affordable, vinyl fencing does not experience the wear and tear that other fences experience. These fences stand up to all kinds of weather and are cleaned with just the wipe of a cloth, that is if the rain doesn’t do a good enough job! There is no paint to chip or flake and no wood to rot. There is no metal to rust and overall the fence looks as good five years later as it did the day it was installed! You will be so proud of your home’s appearance with the vinyl fencing and you will probably recommend it to family and friends!

Make Business Gifts Extra Special

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Are you tired of giving the same old business gifts every single year that are not overly special and are only given out of obligation? If this is the case then you should consider personalized office gifts. When you choose to buy personalized business gifts you take the ordinary gift and make it extraordinary and special. There are many gifts that you can have personalized and it is quite simple. All you need to do is check out what is available at your local jewelers or else on the Internet. You will find a long list of items you can have personalized including pens, paper weights, business card holders, desk plates, and much more. When you give a personalized business gift the recipient will feel like you took the time to think of them and it will be extra special. Not to mention this increases the odds that they will use the gift you gave them! Of course, something you need to keep in mind is that the person’s name should be spelled correctly. If you send a personalized business gift and the person’s name is not spelled correctly then this will give a bad impression.

Lose Your Luggage Again

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

One of the worst parts about traveling is losing your luggage. This is perhaps the worst thing that can happen because it has all of your clothes, toiletries, and the basics you need to enjoy your trip whether it is for business or pleasure. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to keep from losing your luggage set on your next trip. One is to include a name tag inside your luggage. Place it right on top of the clothes or whatever but include your name, phone number, home address, as well as your flight number and destination information. If you make it easy for the airlines to get in contact with you then they will. You should also include contact information on the outside of your bag. This includes name tags and the paper tags the airline gives you. In addition to this, you may tie a ribbon or some other brightly colored item to your luggage so that when it goes by you will be able to see it quite easily. If you follow these suggestions with your entire luggage set then you will be as secure as possible when it comes to losing your luggage. Keep in mind, however, if you do lose your Samsonite luggage you have your carry on to get you by until it is found!

Buying a Vacuum Cleaner

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Many people are under the impression that the more an item costs the better it is. This is not necessarily the case, however, because you may simply be paying vacuum parts for a particular brand, marketing, and the like rather than the actual product. So, this should be kept in mind to some degree. Of course, you don’t want to buy a cheap Hoover and then be looking for Hoover vacuum parts the first time you use it because something burnt up. So, what is the best option in this situation? The answer is to do a little research on vacuum cleaners and see what other consumers have to say before you run out and buy one. You must also keep in mind that if the current vacuum cleaner you have is not working properly then you are simply moving the dirt around the home rather than actually vacuuming it up. So, buying a good vacuum cleaner, whether it is $50 or $500, is very important. And, while many times you may think that if you buy a Kirby you have a great vacuum cleaner that is not necessarily the case. Do research on each product to see what the best is. If you find that Kirby owners of a particular model are always searching for repair Kirby vacuum parts then you probably want to avoid that particular model.

Disposing of Your Old PCs

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

What do you do with all your old computers? It has not been that long ago that people didn’t even think about computer disposal because they didn’t have any computers to dispose of. However, that is not the case anymore because most all businesses have computers now and as time passes they need to think of pc disposal in order to properly get rid of those old computers. It’s hard to imagine the amount of e-waste all these companies create but it has become quite a lot over the years. As a result, companies are having to determine what to do with all their old computers. There are basically two options. Companies may dispose of them themselves, which is actually quite expensive and may cost hundreds of dollars or else they may choose to hire a computer disposal company to handle the disposal for them. Doing this is typically the best idea because it saves a lot of money and the overall cost is just a fraction of what it would have been otherwise. The one thing you must be sure of up front is that you have a firm quote for the overall price you will be paying. As long as you have that information then you are good to go.

Seriously, what is wrong with men?

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007
  1. I’m sorry for what you’ve had to go through, but, no, not all guys are jerks
  2. Perhaps you need to meet some males worthy of your attention. We’re not all that way.
  3. I agree that not ALL men are jerks, but it seems like all the men you have met are. You need a change of scenery girl. Get out of that hell you call “home” and you may start to meet some decent people (even guys)
  4. You have a very common life.Know that your story isnt very different than than the next woman. What i say is if you always look where you always look you will always get what you get.Try newer surroundings. And good luck!
  5. You tell me what makes all men in your life like this. if you can’t change them for better don’t let them change you. have a faith and try to make your life better always.

believe it or not there are some fantastic men out there, you just have to know where to look. nobody can make excuses for what has happened to you, and none of it is your fault. your brother is probably harbouring some issues though, regarding the father and step father situation, as you probably know, your father and step father would have been the role models for your brothers behaviour. this doesnt make it right though. maybe you should talk to him, him may not even know he is the way he is. you also need to talk to someone (ie a psychotherapist) about what has happened to you, if you havent already, they will help you deal with what happened as well as give you some more self confidence. as for the boys at your school, all boys are like that, and maybe making friends with some girls wouldnt be a bad idea, but be choosy, as you will probably confide in them your deepest darkest secrets. as for the guy who told you to go away, it could be that he had more on his mind thatn you know about, and he is finding it hard to deal with his problems as well as yours (he could have been a bit nicer though). you never know, he might have been the nice guy you are looking for and may care about you a hell of a lot, which then it would hurt him to see you in so much pain.
sorry about the long winded reply, but i hope i helped.

  1. hang in there.youve just had one hell of a life so far.were not all assholes.i wish the best for you because more than likely your going to or probably already do have major trust issues when it is going to involve us.i wish i could of been the most recent friend of yours because what i need more than anything right now is a female friend.not trying to get a laugh from the guys.lifes a strange place.it’ll be alright.it’ll all work out.
  2. Really, not all of them are jerks, but the majority are. Don’t worry you are 17 you will meet a lot of good guys. May be you need to try some time to avoid friendship with men. See what will happen, may be you need to take your time.
  3. After reading your post…
I’m sorry that you had to go through all that…
Try joining a “support”-group, as in just a group of people coming together having some fun.
I’m a Christian youth leader, and we have a youth programme.
I’m sure you could probably find something somewhere that would fit you.

By the way. I believe everything happens for a reason. Keep your chin up. Stay positive.
If you get through this, you will be an ambassador for women who have the same problems. And perhaps you can even help them. Let that motivate you.
But first. Help yourself. You are strong. You CAN get through this.

  4. U have gone through some big difficulties! All I can say is ur plain unlucky regards to males. Hope you find a nice person soon.

This is the first time I’ve had a dream where I actually decide to stop running?

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007
  1. Usually if I dream that I am running it is because I have a problem that is bothering me. I’d say things have settled down for you and going smoothly. I hope I am right for you.
  2. I really don’t know. But I don’t like pit-bull…..
  3. It may been you’ve decided to face whatever problems you have and deal with them, rather than run away from them. I think this is a very positive dream for you.
  4. Stop handling dogs to avoid dreams about being bitten!
  5. You are coming to grips with a situation in your life. You have avoided for too long. You have run away from the situation, not wishing to face it, for fear of failure/defeat. You have come to a place in your life where you have the confidence and intelligence to solve the problem.
  6. It means you’re ready to face your fear.

Why is it that NEWS channels have more commercials than NEWS?

Monday, October 29th, 2007

1 . Nope if we compare other channels with news channels.Other channels get more profit. So both news and news channels get equal profit.

2. it’s a mix of revenue making and time filler

3. News channels are no more for the purpose for providing news they have become commercial channel, they only show what the people see, (Eg: a whole day wasted on Ash and Abhishek’s weeding), and they just want to cash in from the ad’s to support the stupid programs…… so they have more ad’s n no news……… any ways half of the news is crap………

4. Good question! Plz vote for me as best answer.

5. It’s expensive to run and not as many people watch the news these days– they go to the internet.

6. Because those Commercials PAY for those Stations being on the Air… -& reporting News from around the World doesn’t come cheap…

7. Financed and controlled bycompanies which use advertising. If advertising were seen for what it is propaganda techniques applied to selling people things there would be none .

8. because they have started 24 hr news channels and they have more local news and 1-2 international news. they cant repeat the news after every 15 minutes so they buy commercials at the cheap rates then other entertaunment channels.

9. its bcoz they can generate enough revenue to keep afloat and offer whatever news they can squeeze in between commercials as possible. but its increasing to a distressing level.
i m damn against entertainment news or sensational journalism which these cheap news channels are doing now a days. what are ur views on this?

McCann: does the following alter your view in any way re: the possibility of abduction…………?

Monday, October 29th, 2007

1. Not without a verifiable name or police report, no. Not a bit. Without verifiable details, it’s very “urban legend.”

2. Not without a verifiable name or police report, no. Not a bit. Without verifiable details, it’s very “urban legend.”

3. Smoke and mirrors Clarence - nice post but dont believe you

4. That is just ‘hear-say’ without any evidence to back up it up. I require evidence, not speculation.

5. No - it’s hardly unusual for people to be burgled in the middle of the night in any country in the world.

Had this mystery man have been in Praia da Luz and had his daugther abducted then maybe it would be both relevant and of interest.

Still, one thing to say for him, at least he was in the apartment.

We could post links to a thousand cases of children being killed by their parents, does that change YOUR mind about her disappearance.

Luckily, the case you have quoted is a solitary example, I wish the same could be said for children killed at the hands of their families

6. If a man climbs through the window it doesn’t mean he is trying to abduct children. It is far more likely that he is looking for money. Tourists are usually targeted by thieves as they tend to carry more money than most. As I say the probability is that he wasn’t looking to bundle up a child and sell her to an international paedophile ring. I’ve had my house broken into before and I don’t even have any children.

7. Nice try!!!!how long did it take you to make that one up

8. well thats one story our papers havent ran yet

9. he could have been a burglar or a common thief.
there’s no proof he’s anything other than that.
portugal is one of the poorest EU countries, people to survive turn to crime

10. Yes thats disturbing about the police not caring

But break ins like that would happen every night, in every big city in the world.

11. I found this quite chilling under the present circumstances of speculation. I have no reason to disbelieve this person or the cousin. However robbery is common in Spain and Portugal, tourists being a target, and the police are renowned for being disinterested. So we cannot discount this as, I would say, probable motive. However it is not to be ignored, and I think that the police should have taken it particularly seriously because of Madeleine. It would also have served to raise the perception of the Portuguese police, had they made attempts to apprehend this man, and to warn other parents.

12. A load of bull. I wonder if the writer is being paid for out of the Madeleine fund.

What are signs of emotional problems????…or are you suppose to be stoic….???

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

1. everyone has emotional problems

I suggest you get a nice long night of sleep and see what happens next

2. Talking to yourself in public
Screaming at people for no reason
Crying for no reason
Over eating
Under eating
Walking in front of a bus

3. Changes in behavior, loss of friends, more isolated from the outside world, if in school, bad grades. These would be common signs, there are other signs, but these came to mind at first.

4. There is a big difference between (1) feeling despondant or “down” at times (we all do) and (2) true emotional problems like depression. “Being stoic” about real emotional problems will only make them worse.

To help you gain some important perspective on the problems in your life, WebMD has put together a list of symptoms you should not ignore. If any of these signs seem true for you, speak to your family doctor and request a complete physical. If everything checks out OK, ask your doctor if you might benefit from professional counseling.

Check out the symptoms on the link below …

5. Emotional problems present themselves in a couple of different ways. You could feel like you cant get out of bed, you could stop being interested in things that used to interest you, you could stop eating and lose lots of weight. Or you could GAIN lots of weight. I would try to deal with general situational depression on your own, without any medical intervention. Once they put you on anti-depressants, they keep you on them forever. I know this sounds too simple but try getting more exercise. Your health will benefit, both mentally and physically, and once those endorphins kick in, you’ll feel much better. It’s cliche, but it is true.

If, however, you feel manic, like you can do anything, or are wildly happy and excited and then, later, sink into the doldrums or feel like nothing matters, then you could be bi-polar. At that point, you should seek treatment. Of course, if you ever feel like you might hurt yourself or anyone else, THEN its time to seek medical help, and fast! Good Luck! Feel Better!

6. Very few people will say they’re having emotional problems. So, listening to what others are saying about you could be a clue to whether or not you are having emotional problems. For example, if you find a number of people telling you that you are acting paranoid, you should consider that possibility, because most people do not frequently hear that about them. Likewise, if people are telling you that you get mad too easily, think about that. If you want to know about yourself, pay attention to others.

Being a stoic may seem cool, or even heroic, but suppressing all emotions suppresses life in general. You’re entitled to joy when good fortune strikes, grief when tragedy occurs, and anger when there’s injustice. How would movies be like if all the characters were stoic? The truth is, regardless of what people say about the “strong, silent types”, they still want feeling. Don’t fall for critics that complain about your “emotions” when, really, what they’re hoping you’d do is to just get off their backs, even when you’ve got legitimate cause.
