People magazine recipes

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Last Christmas people magazine had a holiday recipe section. One was from stacy keibler and it was a candy made with saltine crackers. The other was a frosting from the wife on the sopranos. I can’t find the magazine and if anyone has these recipes I would totally appreciate it!

Soda Cracker Candy

1 (10 ounce) package saltine crackers
1 1/2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 (12 ounce) packages semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped almonds

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a 10×15 inch cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
2. Place crackers in a singe layer over prepared cookie sheet. Use more or fewer crackers as needed to cover the bottom of your pan.
3. In a small saucepan over low heat combine butter and brown sugar; bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes; pour over crackers.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top. Sprinkle almonds over chocolate chips; using the back of a wooden spoon, press nuts into chocolate.
5. Chill in refrigerator for at least 3 hours, or until set. Break into pieces and store, sealed, in refrigerator.

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

I plan on making baked potatoes tonight and I don’t have any foil left so can I put it in the oven without foil?

sure!! I like them better that way. Just poke it with a fork a few times and bake away. The skin gets all crunchy!

——

Yes…absolutely. Just poke the potato with a fork a few times before you put it in. This is the only way we bake our potatoes and they come out great!!!

What is the healthiest way to cook a chicken breast?

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Hey there, so I have some chicken breast, I want to cook one for lunch with some veggies, but I was wondering, what is hte healthiest way to cook it? I normally poach it, but I don’t know? Any ideas?

Avoid boiling or poaching- chix breasts are dry, already, and this cooks out what little flavor there already is. One way that works well for a crowd is to make salads with all your favorite veggies. then, at the last minute, quickly grill or pan fry using a tiny bit EVO. However, if you marinate them for a few hours in italian dressing, you can slice them in 1/2 inch slices, pop in a HOT cast iron skillet or spider, and stir to cook evenly. Don’t over cook - they will dry out.

Serve with dressings on the side.

You can marinate them easily if you pour a couple spoons of italian dressing in a baggie and place the sliced chix in it. shake a couple times about every 1/2 hour. the oil from the dressing will provide enough oil to cook them, if the pan is hot and you stir them. this should only take a couple minutes.

Happy eating

You could use the same cooking technic with stir fries. say with broccolli, cauliflower, onions, peapods, and carrots. you could also add a couple slivvered garlic bulbs

By first placing meat/veg/water/cleaning ice box, the list goes on and on.

go to letstalkhealth.com and get yourself an ozone machine
$100 and something dollars.
then ozone your water.
I take my ozone water to sink and place chicken into anooother bowl
I pour my ozone water in it
I also buy 35% hydrogen perioxide water and drop just a drop
of this into my ozone water.

I place chicken in it for cleaning
after a bout 10 minutes maybe more what you are feeling
at time…

now spray with colloidal silver.
you buy at wholefoods under several names.

now you are ready for some cooking of your chicken.

by baking in your oven, or boiling in water for some soup,
by bbq on grill it is your choice.

include some veg to make it heavenly with some sea salt.
salt good no matter what doctors want you to believe.
need salt to run that heart.

New Starbucks Drinks?

Friday, July 18th, 2008

I love starbucks. The closest one to my house is about 20 minutes away (I live in the mountains) I was going into town tomorrow and I was thinking of trying one of those new ones (it’s like chocolate banana) . which one is good?

Hi! I work at Starbucks. Our new drinks are called Vivanno Nourishing Blends and come in two flavors, Orange Mango Banana and Chocolate Banana. Both have protein powder and a whole banana in it.

Personally I think the Orange Mango tastes better with the Matcha powder in it (the green stuff we use to make the green tea lattes) and the Chocolate Banana tastes better with an extra pump of mocha. The protein powder kind of takes away from the sweetness.

Other than that, have fun trying it! Starbucks will be introducing new flavors eventually if this is successful.

Try the orange mango banana first though.
