He tends to drink when he is not working as he dwells on his problems, having nothing else to think about. I am so glad that he will be able to work and then he should hopefully begin to feel more positive about things and stop drinking so much. I try to be with him as much as I can when he is not at work so that he does not get depressed and he does seem to have found the withdrawal of his licence as a sign that he needs to pull himself together a bit.
