Receiving the Proper MCITP Training
Before testing for the MCITP certification most people need to attend MCITP training to get up to speed on everything that they need to know in order to perform all of the tasks that are required of them. Many attend what is called an MCITP boot camp where there is a daylong or even weekend or week long training session where students will literally cram all of the information followed by testing at the end of the period. This can often be done online as well as at college campuses around the nation. This is often a good way to refresh ones mind on all of the skills and knowledge that are required to receive the certification.
One cannot simply go out and start MCITP training and take the exam to receive their certification, instead they must first complete the requirements for the MCTS, which is the SQL Server 2005 certification, which consists of just one exam. Then, individuals can then start their MCITP course, which will prepare them for the two exams that one must pass before they receive their MCITP certification. Microsoft offers a lot of detailed information on their site as to the training and courses that are required, making the process straight forward for those that are serious about obtaining this certification and others.
