Teeth question?
Animals such as horses, cows and sheeps dont have any canines. why?
would an animal with ridged molars and no canines be an omnivore, carnivore or berbivore? why?
what is the dental formula for a child and an adult?
Horses, cows, and sheep have flat teeth for grinding. They are herbivores and don’t need sharp teeth for tearing flesh. An animal with ridged molars and no canines could be either an omnivore or a herbivore. However, some animals, such as dogs, are actually omnivores despite the fact they have teeth built for carnivores.
The dental formula for a child is 2,1,2 and the formula for an adult is 2,1,2,3 (for those who don’t know, this refers to the kind of teeth they have from front to back).
